Ragtang | 20’s dance reimagined for this century!
Lizzie created Ragtang (derived from Ragtime Tango) a dance fitness class based around Charleston, Swing Ragtime and Tango music. It’s an easy to follow, upbeat, fun dance class with a distinctly vintage feel.
We begin the class by going through the basic steps without music, so participants can learn the Ragtang Repertoire. If you haven’t done the class before, it gives you a chance to go through the steps more slowly before ‘performing’ the routines. For the regular Ragtangites it’s a good warm up plus new moves can be added in.
Once the music starts, the dancing doesn’t stop. Ragtang is a medium-impact class. It’s a fun workout that’s good for your body, brain and spirit!
This class is suitable for all levels.
This class is also available online via Zoom so you can join from anywhere!

Jazzex | Learn dances from the shows!
Jazzex is a mix of musical theatre, modern, jazz and contemporary dance styles.
Participants learn a routine that is taught over a set number of weeks (usually 6-8 weeks). The class begins with a traditional jazz warm up, followed by a pulse-raising section which includes travelling steps and simple choreographed sequences. Then we move into a strength and stretch section, which leads onto the routine.
All participants will receive a weekly recording of the class via email. This means that if you miss a class you’ll be able to catch up and practice at home, if you want to!
Previous routines have been from shows such as: Chicago, Buddy Holly, Grease, La La Land and many more.
Jazzex, previous dance experience is helpful but not essential.
This class is also available online via Zoom so you can join from anywhere!
If you haven’t participated in this class before, it is possible to try one session (£10) before committing to the full course.
