Positive change through movement.

Lizzie started her professional dance training at the Arts Educational School in Tring at the age of 10. She went on to the Ballet Rambert school at age 16 and then onto Laine Theatre Arts which included her first teacher training in Cecchetti Ballet, under the close scrutiny of Royal Ballet’s Richard Gladstone, for which she gained a distinction.

Lizzie had a successful professional career in dance and musical theatre including 4 shows in the West End - Bernadette, Camelot, Fosse and Kiss Me Kate (both Fosse and Kiss Me Kate transferred to the UK from Broadway). She went on to assist the distinguished choreographer Stuart Hopps and worked on several projects including Kenneth Branagh’s musical film Love’s Labour’s Lost.

Lizzie moved to Bath in 2003 and retrained as a Pilates instructor with Dr Suzanne Scott (at The Scott Studio) one of the founding members of the Pilates Foundation, who works with the England football team. Lizzie completed 4 years of comprehensive Pilates study with Suzanne, fitness training with the YMCA and continues to study courses in movement, Pilates, anatomy and massage.

She has been teaching dance and Pilates to adults in Bath and Bristol for nearly 20 years.

“It is important to me that my classes are inclusive and welcoming. The aim is not only to improve physical wellbeing, but to challenge and educate, whilst providing a warm, positive environment for those wanting to learn/practice dance and Pilates.

Each class is meticulously planned and carefully researched to ensure the technique follows current movement thinking and meets individual needs.”
